Adult Health Examination
Adult Preventive Healthcare Service: general clinic for adult health examination
Since the launch of Adult Preventive Healthcare Service in 1996 under the National Health Insurance program, the Department of Family Medicine has been cooperating with related units in the administration of adult health checkups. According to statistics, the top ten causes of death in Taiwan, such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes, are mostly chronic diseases. Periodic health check-ups are intended to detect risk factors for these chronic diseases, such as hyperlipidemia, hyperglycemia, hypertension, and obesity to facilitate early treatments.
